UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods in force in Liechtenstein

On 1 May 2020, the United Nations Convention of Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (“CISG”) came into force in Liechtenstein and became part of Liechtenstein law. Liechtenstein thus follows most European countries and its major trading partners – particularly Switzerland, Austria and Germany, each of which ratified the convention some 30 years ago. So far, 93 countries have ratified the CISG.

Dr. Nicolas Xander joins WGB

As of February 1st, 2020 Dr. Nicolas Xander joined WGB as new associate; after successfully terminating a three months trial period we are happy to welcome him on board; we look forward to a fruitful collaboration with him. Dr. Xander will assist WGB in all matters of Liechtenstein law.
